I got a copy mohaa off kazaa sometime ago, but never got it to work.
I loaded it again so I would remember what errors I got and apllied the MOHAA 1.1 patch before I tried to put in the no-cd patch in.
I also remembered the some of the files had troubled loading and had been advised to use winrar to unpack pk3(Pak0.pk3-Pak6.pk3 w/patch 1.1) into the main folder
Then renamed mohaa.exe to mohaax.exe(for safety) and put in the no-cd.
it does try to go to the internet on start-up, but in single player mode you can stop it and it woulded hurt anything.
After all that said it works fine, but it's not multi-play ready but I'm using a 56K and don't game online yet.
Just thought I'd drop it here for anyone who may get it there or has it and can't get it to work.
Ive experienced problems like this as well. Kazaa is a horrible place to get software, I rarely can find anything uncorrupted. Try using eMule or an IRC application like mIRC.
ugghhh, how could anyone download games off kazaa?? there are much more reliable resources for games than kazaa!! actually there is just loads of better p2p
yeah i know what you mean got some bin/cue files when burned they're 9 out of 10 times corrupted says error in cab2 or something but i'v tried loads of p2p but kazaa is by far the fastest for me anyway 50kbs per sec is usually what i get depending on how many users there is that's on a cable modem to
Hi i've been having a problem with MOHAA also. I also got it Kazaa. Ok so i replace the original .exe with the other one and when i try to start it, it says it cannot find default.cfg. Can someone help me please? thanks
use winrar to repair a of the pak file, it will make one big file from all six files, then extract the one big file to the games main folder and more the pak files somewhere else.
and remember is you're doing the repair, take all the pak3 files and the repaired zip out of the MOHAA main folder after you have unzip it(the repaired pak zip) to the main folder
