I downloaded Shadow of the Colossus and I kinda know how the whole ISO thing works. I was wondering how exactly I'm suppose ta get the game to work. I have a bunch of zipped up iso files and I was wondering why I have so many zip files of the same iso. Or are each file different where i have to unzip every single file. I'm kind of new to this obviously. I'm probably confusing everyone. Anyway, I unzipped one file and burned that iso to a dvd but it wouldn't play in my PS so I was wondering if I needed to unzip them all or do something different. Thanks

you cant just burn a game and play it, its called COPY PROTECTION. You either have to buy a modchip or a boot disc.

I am aware of that.. There are many things that I have that were once COPY PROTECTED.. Even if I downloaded the game as a torrent? How much do these mods cost?

you must have a mod, there is no way around it. modchips range from $20-$80 (plus installation if you cant do it yourself). Or swap magic discs cost $25, and you need a way to swap discs (fliptop, slide card, etc).

Im sorry to push into this thread, but i got a ISO file off the net, burned it onto a DVD+RW using Alcohol @ 2.4 but when i try to run it after swap magic, it says it's not a valid ps2 disk... Any idea?

Also, i found in a lot of threads that the best programs to rip the ps2 game into the pc HDD is DVD Decrypter, but when i try, it asks for the .IFO file (DVD as you know)... Since there's no settings to fiddle with i can't do anything!
When i try to rip the game using Alcohol, it just stops after a while... Unknown error it says. Weird...

burning to rw disc is your problem. Most ps2's will not read rw discs, and even if it does read, its very bad for your laser.

Then we've got a problem Sly... Because my burner doesn't burn DVD-R's. I can burn DVD-RW no probs but not DVD-R's... Im taking my pc down my local pc shop to try and have it fixed, as i tried to do everything to find this bug... Got expert advise (Creaky-Mod), and still...
