try to ftp the disk over again.
is the dvd brand reliable?? (or cheap?)
XISO sometimes creates a bad image. try that again
if all else fails, fry flashing with the latest Xecutor Bios.
PS:
29 wires is alot!!
is it an old chip??
the newer ones only have 10

have you rebooted your xbox console after inserting your disk. If not, try this and it should work. I am using flashfxp to transfer the files to my PC and iso image maker to reformat files to xbox language and burning as an image file with record now DX. This technique has worked fine as long as I reboot the xbox after inserting the backed up media. I am having trouble now backing up a new released game. Have heard I need to patch one of the default files but sounds too technical. Good Luck!

yes i know which one is the best... see the link right above your post?
all you do is when you finish transfewring files from your xbox to pc is find the default.xbe file, put that location in the patcher and in like 5 secs it is fixed.. burn the ISO with gdfimage and burn image with nero and ur finished.

ozy--What chip do you have?Depending on which one you might be able to flash BIOS from EvoX.The latest Xecuter2 is 4976.02.I had the same problem and after the flash,no more problems. The patcher DANK metioned also works. So I've heard. But with the flash, you wont need patchers at all.

ozy--
You got a mod chip like mine. You can flash the BIOS from EvoX.There should be an option "FlashBIOS".I believe it is under system utilities. You need to find Xecuter2 BIOS mentioned previously. The link kinggee gave is a good one. Before you flash the bios open up the evox.ini file and under [action 10] somewhere will be an entry like this: flashbios "\bios\Xecuter2 4976.02_Blue.bin"
where it says \bios\[type name of your BIOS file here] and save the new evox.ini to your xbox. Now reboot and go to "FlashBIOS" and flash away.Your XBOX will turn off.Power it back on and you should be good to go.

Try downloading iso maker again. Maybe from another source. See if that makes any difference.

Maybe your mod can't be flashed via evox. If this is the case you will have to flash via disk. The different colours is just to spruce up the xbox screen saver to optional colours depending on which one u use.

First went to http://www.biteable.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ and downloaded the X2 4976.02 which includes 6 different colours. I actually d/loaded the X2 4976.02 which included the IGR file aswell but this file was too big and the xbox rejected it.
As long as your mod chip is flashable you can use this method which I found at http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/evox-flash.php if not u could probably find another guide in the same link. I'm not a great wiz at this sort of stuff but with determination, worked it out. I opened flashfxp and clicked on the "C" drive of the xbox, found the evox.ini file, right clicked on it and clicked edit. Might be a good idea to print this ini file out just in case you stuff it and can't remember the layout. I then added the two flash conversions shown in the above link e.g "Flash = 0xbf61,"SST - 49LF020",0x40000" and typed it in above the others, located under the Bios section and exited. The computer then told me to save changes to ini file and do I want to post updates to xbox, which I did. I then dragged the new bios I d/loaded earlier over to the "BIOS Folder" on the xbox. Got off the computer and with the xbox controller clicked on "Launch Menu" then clicked on "Flash Bios". The new folder I dragged had shown on the menu now, clicked on it and pressed "Y" to flash. The xbox erased the old bios and uploaded the new one and then shut itself off. The rest is history because that simple process must have taken me about 3 days to workout. Hope this helps any other newbies out there. "peace!"
