PSP memory stick error

I have two memory sticks. The original 32 MB that came with the PSP and a lexmark 128MB stick i have had for about 2 weeks. Tonight after i swapped them out the lexmark stopped working. The 32MB works fine but when i put the 128 MB stick in the light for the memory stick just blinks and it does not register anything in the drive. Anyone had this problem before and if so what can i do to try to get the memory stick working again. I would format it if the drive would recognize the lexmark when i inserted it but it wont. Any ideas???

i just sent my sony 1g to get replace it did the same thing no one know why

Got home this morning and tried my 128mb lexar and it works fine. I tried rebooting it earlier and it did not work. Maybe you just have to take the stick out and leave the system off for a while. The light for the drive just kept flashing until now. Hope this does not happen again. At least i know it is not my psp though b.c the factory 32mb never did stop working.

If it happens again, perhaps it is a problem with that 128MB memory stick. I would say try that stick in another PSP if you can, that will tell you if its your PSP or the memory stick. :)

Er... did you accidentally, formatted your MS to wrong format (incompatible with your PSP, eg NTFS or something else... )? Try format it using your PSP (to FAT), not PC.

And... Formatting is needed before using a new MS.

If that doesn't work, try read it using a card reader. If there's still no any response in your PC, say goodbye to your MS.

an external one in compusa or bestbuy is about 40-60 dollar it's much cheaper to get it online www.newegg.com

im very lucky in that I have a memcard reader in my computer, all I need to do is use an adapter.

definitely check to make sure it is not the card ! proper formatting is essential, but generally automatic....if put into a reader. My sandisk 1.0gb and sony hi-speed 2.0gb had no probs. I just plugged them in and off they went :p

if you can save up some cash, definitely try an get your hands on a 1.0gb card, theres not much you can do with anythuing smaller, especially if you want tro run isos and homebrew.
