hey i just bought a psp and i want to set up the internet we have dls well my bro does and he has a wirless router in his room and wont let me near it so i dont know the router name or the ssid or enything eny one know how i can get this infomation so i can set up the browser on my psp????

and can if you use the usb connector can you use the internet on your psp through your pc??????

1975 NEWS FLASH!!! Most modern internets now have ENCRYPTION!!!

1989 NEWS FLASH!!! Stealing other persons internets is against the law in many countries!!! The Soviet Congress today announced that Communism will now include TORTURE and DEATH to those who steals internets from Stalin's grave!

2005 NEWS FLASH!!! Currently the PSP's current Firmware is too primitive to recieve the internet from USB!!! And currently no one has the idea for it in Homebrew!!!

*Note: I'm using "internets" instead of "the internet" to give it a pre-modern feel.

*No you cant get onto the internets with USB... why the heck would you... if your plugged into the computer then use your computer !! *and transfer dls to usb as you normally would) lolz... without a good browser, most pages look crap anyway. The official broswer that comes with 2.0 beyond had adapted the netfront brower, which I use dto use with my pocket pc and was awesome in page optimisation.

*yes, most routers have encryption, many forms of which the psp doesnt support

*no, you actually dont need to know his setting, try scan in infrastructure. But if it is password protected chances are you wont have a workable connection. Itll recognise it, but you actually WONT be able to get online. (this is the case with my router)

*you basically need a router that is a wireless access point. Personally, i wouldnt really bother. Just use public hotpsots and ad=hoc mode to play against friends

*dont steal your brothers internets if he doesnt want you do so. This will possbily cause you to get a beating if he ever catches you. Respect other peoples property and privacy - especially family - cmon !

hmmmm i see well a while ago i went into his room and put my psp up to his router and i did a scan and it didnt find enything!!!!! and i odnt think he would mind if i did use it

i think im sure he has one yes there were lighs on it and they were flashing yes it was on i only know the brand its a d-link it has a areal comeing out of it
