please anyone tell me how to turn a WLAN on also it says put your password. what password? does it like a mobile phone password?

1) Do you even have a Wireless (802.11a,b,g or n), Router and or a, Wireless Access Point?!?

If you should have answerd no to One of the above questions. Then you simply can not use the WierlesLocalNetwork of the PSP?. There's no need to confuse WLAN with WAN (Wide Area Network), That would be your ISP, assigned IP Address.

2) The Password you're most likey refering to is either the WEP or WPA Key needed to join the WLAN Network. It's there so your nosiy Negibors don't go a stealling your Bandwith. So assumming you don't have access to said Key(s). It's probable that you're not ment to use it. Otherwise you should be able to get this Key off your Router Settings.

3) The WLAN Swith is next to the MemoryStick? Port...

There is no use using Wireless Local Area Network if
1. you don't have one
2. you don't know how to use one - seriously, if you had one it would have an INSTRUCTION MANUAL (the PSP manual has a section on this also).
3. You don't just snag your neigbours'/McDonald's/Starbucks internet for free if they have WEP becuase it is encrypted. You ONLY do that if there is no encryption, the laws of your contry do not forbid stealing bandwidth and you know how to use it. I steal my neighbours' bandwidth becuase I asked them and they don't even give a damn cos they're so bloody rich.
4. Info on the WLAN switch is on page 19 of the european PSP manual.
5. By password, do you mean PARENTAL LOCK PASSWORD? If your parents forbid you accessing your webbrowser (to prevent you attempting to look at pr0n, for example), then tough luck, don't ask us. Don't ask us if there's a way to crack the password cos it's your parents decision to prevent you from attempting to access pr0n.
6. IF you mean the parental lock thing, it's a four digit number. It should also prevent you from playing certain (*cough*GTA*cough*) games. If you're that desperate, (even tho you don't know how to use WLAN) go to restore system settings.
