I/O Error when backup DVD from Vietnam

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone out there can help me out.

I recently bought some movie DVD's from Vietnam. However when I try to back them up using DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 it will read it to 40%, 60% or sometimes 80% then stop with the message of unrecoverable read error. Then when I insert the disc back in and try to read it again an error message with I/O error appears and I can't read the disc anymore.

There are no or minor scratches on the disc only. Can anyone help me out :)

I/O errors can be due to poor media - your drives way of saying it doesn't like the disc. Are these originals with copy protection on them or are they 'copies'?
Give dvd fab decrypter a shot - like decrypter but still updated.

I bought it as an original with protection. And usually I don't have a problem removing the protection using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. The media appears to be free of scratches. So I don't know? Any ideas?

You may have a bad presses which our eyes can't see but your drive does when trying to rip. Here's a link for hard to rip discs:

Try it - It's worked for me.
I would also give dvd fab decrypter a shot too.
