Anyone know how to take the audio out of VCD or SVCD so that I can make a CD for my car? I know there are lots of audio rippers from DVD but can't find anything for VCD

VirtualDub should be able to do the trick. First copy the video file to your computer, as it will go much faster.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
