Do you even have a mehtod to boot those backups, like a modchip or swapmagic? if no, then there's the problem.. you can't play backups without a modchips or swapmagic with a fliptop or slidecard.

It might be the bulkpaq dvd's, i'd suggest you use the Verbatims.
Also, are you using DVD+R or DVD-R ?

You should do >Write iso with decrypter. As for the dvd's, use the verbatim ones, since their DVD-R, see if that solves it (some older ps2's don't like +R or won't play them at all) and since their 8x, try burning at either 4x or 2x (the speed will depend on how well the backups on each work, for instance, my PAL ps2 works best with discs bruned at 2x or lower, whereas my NTSC ps2 will only work with discs burned at at leats 4x or higher) so that's mainly trial and error.

Ok, you just loaded a burnt disc. So, is it just tony hawk that is giving you problems?

it should work, dont know y it isnt. try a different game to backup. if it works then do the exact same to the one ur tryin to back up right now. use the DVD-R and burn at the lowest speed. also try and find out the way the person backed up the one u used to make sure the chip worked. idk it should work.
