Slow loading times on San Andreas??

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here.. I got swap magic 3.6 and the slide card tool during the week..

So far ive backed up Colin McRea Rally 04, Devil May Cry 3 and GTA San Andreas...

Im using Philips -R 8x dvds and not sure what my ps2 version is.. All i know is i bought the first week it was released.. all those years ago!!!

Just wandering about the load times for San Andreas.. now the game plays fine.. but if i enter a hideout to save the game or anything it takes a good minute before it loads and then i appear inside the house.. anyone else have this problem??

I don't have any problems on my burnt copy. What speed did you burn it at?

I am trying to remember how long mine took, but it has been a while
i don't remember it taking that long.
Rebuilding a game can sometime solve that problem.
Sometime even cleaning the laser.
With those discs i would say you should burn the games
at 4X all the time
I have used Philips 8X DVD-R for years now and have had
great success, not saying they will work for everyone but they
work great with my Sony burner and both my PS2's & Xbox
It is very,very rare i get a bad burn.
I had one game i did have slow load times and after rebuilding it the game worked just fine.

look down this poost and there is a download link for a tool called
GNIE, it is an auto rebuilding program that is suppose to be very good, and will surely save you some time.
