it would be helpfull to know the model number... if you could find out i may be able to help you more.
If its an Nvidia card that youve got then this is the way to do it.
right click on your desktop and go to properties. then go to the settings tab and click advanced. if it is an nvidia card you should see a tab with your graphics cards name and the nvidia logo. click on that. you should now see a menu, click on display settings. now you should see a picture of a monitor with a drop down box above it saying display mode. click on the drop down box and select "clone" mode. this should make your TV display exactly the same as your monitor.

also find out what your graphics card is by right clicking on my computer, go to properties, click the hardware tab, and then click device manager. when youve got device manager loaded click on the + sign next to "diaplay adapters". what ever is in there will be the name of your graphics card
