Japanese Version PSP???

I live in the US and been looking at getting a PSP for my 3 sons. So, I went on ebay and bought a new PSP with 1 gig memory for $200. After I won it, come to find out it is a Japanese version. Should this a big deal, or is it just going to have extra language settings? Will it play everything as normal just like an US version?

japanese, american, all the same, only:
- Different model name - 1002 for eur, 1001 for us, 1000 for jp
- Movie region lock
however there is no game region lock.

- languages are the same for all PSPs except for Chinese. All have jap, eng...

- best to get 1.50 or below for HB

- there's not much difference, but some firmware upgrades ADVISE (aka you don't have to) you to use a certain upgrade for a certain PSP (testing if it'll work for a start, not tested yet on other PSPs, bugs, security holes, BUT DOESN"T REALLY MATTER.)

yea. BUT... you CAN play movie ISOs that are of different region. With UMD EMulator you can rid the check.

They MIGHT crack it soon. for loading real UMDs.

movie UMDs are a waste o' money. The best reason to get a 1.5 is quite simply for the homebrew :)
