I received my xbox 360 on Friday. Played it for a few hours for the past couple of days. Purchased Condemned today and played that for about an hour. Decided I wanted to play Kameo again, so I put the game in, and it wouldn't start up. So I shut off the console, and turned it back on. Low and behold 3 quadrants around the power button started blinking red (the upper right one didn't). So I removed the HD, and started the console up and it booted up jsut fine. Put the HD back in and no go. Left it off for a bit while I contacted Microsoft. While I was on hold, I turned on the console and it worked. Let it run for a few min while I waited on hold and no problem. Shut it off and finished talking to Microsoft (they're gonna send the box so I can send it in for repairs). Tried turnign the console on again, and the 3 same quadrants lit up red. Turned it off. Waited a few minutes and it started up. Played Kameo for about 5 min before the screen turned blue and the game wouldn't play (no red lights came on though). Turned console off and then on, and didn't work. Just curious if anyone else has had this happen.

Ok

your 360 is overheating, Red light means the hard drive is overheating the console. to fix the problem remove the hard drive.

or make sure the 360 is in a well ventilated area.

hope this helps.

all this info is on xbox.com .
