Hi I am looking to buy a PSP and I would like to know what is the best version to get so i can get those games from torrent sites??? ;)

First off you shouldn't get games from torrent sites! The best firmware is 1.0 DUH! But your psp will probally come with firmware 1.50,1.51 or 1.52. So you can upgrade but then if you go to 2.0,2.50, or 2.6 you can't play any backed up games on your psp.

So from what i red so far!! 1.5 can read .ISO files but won't play the newer games and 2.0 won't play .ISO files!!
is that correct??

yes, also you have to downgrade from 2.0 to 1.5 (not 1.51 or 1.52) as they all come with 2.0 but you can downgrade easily and safely now.

It depends on what you want to use your psp for:
If you want to run homebrew and play copied games on your psp then get a version 1.5
If you want to use the psp web browser and dont want homebrew then get a version 2.0

ok wait right there.
1.5 is better if you want homebrew.
2.0 is your choice if you want BS browser, BS GTA.
i'd choose 1.5.
I dld my ISOs from torrents. ppl have their own opinion.
1.5 is better. you can get emulation, isos, small games, appz, file managers, media players...
I was told to change my sig so I did this.

1.5 won't play GTA because it does not support one of the video files in the game, other games are just encrypted so they require the UMD in order to play.

no no no.
It was originally THOUGHT that the AVC codec scrooed it up. They were ripped out and there still was a problem. So they analysed it and it was ENCRYPTED!!!
I was told to change my sig so I did this.
