I bought a ver 2.0 psp and downgraded the firmware to 1.5

Is there any way i can run isos without needing to have an original UMD in the back

If so hows it possible

I have installed fastloader 0.7 which allows me to put the iso's on there but when they are selected it just goes to a black screen for a few seconds then goes back to fastloader menu

Any help would be massively appreciated

Try UMD Emulator. It will load iso

They all talk about fastloader 0.7 and umd 0.8c. I'm sure it will help you out.

2 ways to load iso without needing a umd in the drive. (you need a UMD in the drive to play ISO)

1. Open the UMD drive. See the UMD presence switch? When you insert a UMD in presses it down so the PSP knows there's a UMD in there. Hols it down with masking tape or matchstick or something. thge PSP will always think theres a UMD in the drive.

2. Works on SOME games. Run UMD emulator, load the iso. when you go back into the XMB dont run the game yet. THEN go into devhook and load current iso. THERE!

I found out. Use DEVHOOK, no need a real UMD.

I have just bought a JAP 1.5 PSP and a 2GB Pro Duo.
I got a dvd disc with lots of games on, will i need a UMD to copy these games to Pro Duo or can i trick the UMD sensor to thinking there is a UMD inserted on my version as well?

hi i succesfully downgraded my psp to 1.5 and i also installed wabversionchanger 2.0 so i can still play some umd games i own. but now i want to upgrade my psp again to version 2.0 ( so i will be able to play GTA) but my psp doesn't want to upgrade anymore because it still thinks that firmware 2.0 is installed. I could probably upgrade to 2.5 but will i still be able to downgrade my psp afterwards back to 1.5 (when i am done playing GTA)?
