Playing nstc games on pal ps2 using flip top lid, online

i bought a motocross game from usa because it has online play, i load it up using the flip tip lid and swap magic v 3.3, i've tried to play it online but it keeps coming up with and error message (-402)

The only way is to change your machine id to 1 in the usa (thats all i know though).

like i said, thats what you need to do, but i don't know exactly how to do it. The program is called machine id changer. I have also read that you can screw up your ps2 doing this (not sure if its true or not).

Yopu need to download a program called MAchine ID Changer, Before you change your id, write the id of your ps2 now or if you forget, and the ID you change it too doesnt work, your ps2 will be stuffed up for ever

get the program, you will get the id when you run it.
