How do I backup codebreaker v9.0?

I want to back up my codebreaker v9.0 disk (using my PC). I have tried both nero and alchohol 120% (copy disk function), and I get tons of disk read errors. I aborted the alcohol one after 30 minutes since only 20% was completed.
Any help would be appreciated.

What type of file is it .iso or .bin or something else also what size it it and where did u dl it from like p2p or torrents

Try using Alchohal 120% and get the iumage and then burn it with alcohal

you can't back up codebreaker. when the ps2 loads it looks for bad blocks on the disc to signal a go that it is a ps2 disc. consumer level burners cannot put these on a disc. thats why you need to use swap magic to play backups. same reason if you could just directly load games swap magic would be irrelevant. but codebreaker does work with backups using swap magic. also i will try to back mine up and see if swap magic will load a backup of codebreaker. Interesting???

well right now im trying to back up with Nero. i have had several unrecoverable read errors. alcohol locked up at 21 percent. I will post my results later depending on what happens. Did alcohol work for you glitched???

nero hung up at 34 percent. so i guess for how cheap they are. its not a frequntly used disc only for a split second and you can keep updating the current one you have with the codes for only the games you want

I had no problem backing up it for some reason, rip your original copy with alcohal and then mount the image on a cd

Hi,
So far, in addition to what I mentioned I used in the opening post, I have now tried using clonecd copy function. It made a beautiful copy, and all the stats matched exactly as listed above. But when I tried to load it in my PS2, I got a "not a ps2 or ps2 formatted disk" msg.
FYI: My ps2 is not modded, and is a new slimline.
I think the poster above is right about not being able to bu the errors, etc. I will try the alcohol image method mention above; but I don't expect it will work.
I wonder if ARMax can burn a working bu of codebreaker? It says on the pkg: "Max Media Creator burns movies, MP3's, games and more straight to a CD." If I can borrow a copy of AR, I will try that too.

peaesstwo, without swapmagic or a modchip, you will NEVER get that backup (or any other backups for that matter) to work.

First things first, a non-original disc will never work by itself, you need to boot it somehow.
Now. I've been trying to make a backup of my CodeBreaker v9.2B (I love this thing, loads much faster), but to no avail. The problem for everyone tends to be that the PS2 logo will come up (Magic 3.1 chipped), but then the screen just turns black with the CD trying to load (little screeching/reading noises).
I have tried Alcohol 120% (for the past few weeks) with all humanly possible combinations (DPM, Advanced Factor Scanning: Normal/High), and the only difference I have observed is the amount of error blocks detected with Fast Skip on and off. Without fast skip, it takes about 4hours to read the disc, with fast skip on, it takes 10+ minutes.
The ISOs I've found (hey, I own the original) also do not work, they all do the same blackscreen after the logo shows.
I've not tried much with Nero, since it enjoys locking my drive around 20%, but I'll go experiment in a bit anyway.

Nero took 2 hours w/ unrecoverable errors - didn't work either, the disc feels/sounds identical (while booting up after the PS2 logo) to the one made in Alcohol 120% ; I do not have CloneCD.

hi guys, i made a backup of my codebreaker v 9.0 and works perfect, i got a pstwo ver 12,slim with a dms4 pro modchip no problems loading my codebreaker and i used it with many game backups and allperfect, i made my codebreaker backup using alcohol 120 % ver.1.9.5.0 but i made the iso with dvd decrypter :P, i tried befor i got my modded pstwo to load a backup game and is impossible without a original swap disc

Can you please tell me step by step how did you did it, I have an orginal Code Breaker Ver 8.1 and a moded PS2, and it dosent work i tried to back it up on a DVD using this method http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/189229, and didnt work either.

Me too.
I burn the codebreaker v9 and put it in My PS2 and after the logo Play Station, the screen goes black and no more.
I try to burn with Nero,Alcohol 120%, clone cd, but doesn´t work.
I convert the CD to DVD but doesn´t work.
I have modchip but i don´t know the model.
somebody that can help me?

Well the only thing I can recomend is instaling DMS4 SE, I have instaled DMS4 SE on my PS TWO, and beileve me its worth it all my PS1, CD based games, cheating cds such as codebraker, ACRMax, GameShark, that didnt work with my brevious Modchip now is working smoothly.
%100 booting rate.

well guys may be have to be the modchip, but try to make the codebreaker iso with dvd decrypter and burning with alcohol 120% or with same dvd decrypter :P good luck
about playing the games with it, awesome i tested almost all my backup games with codebraker backup and no problems and i used my pendrive for day1 files and work perfect

The code breaker doesn´t work with Mesiah 3.2 modchip.
i´ll have to buy a new modchip, Matrix Infinity or DMS 4.0 SE

well the best modchip at the moment for me and many more is the dms4 so if u r going to get a new want i got my from http://www.modchip.com 2 days shiping and if very easy to install if u know how solder :P

How do you make an .ISO from the codebreaker? I used DVD Decrypter, and it says nothing. Do I do the CD to DVD, then use DVD Decrypter?

i've been looking everywhere and for some reason this backup will only work in some modchips . if anyone knows what cheat device i should use please let me know . i have pstwo slimline and swap magic . thankz
