I am going to buy a PSP but if you cant backup games onto the mini discs and same with the movies and other games and apps then I wont buy it. But if I can, then I will. So my question is, can users do that to the PSP yet? (I know we can put stuff on the memory sticks but I do not want to do that).

Why the heck not?!?

I mean a 1Gib MS is only like what $75.00(USD),. Tn most places that have nothing to do with the PSP?, persae. And you can probably store more Data in that then a MiniDisc.

But, no the PSP? uses the UniversalMediaDisc?, which is not compatible with the older lower capcity MiniDiscs'?...

Oh my bad. What I am saying is, I will buy a PSP if its games and other apps can be burnt on to those discs that is uses. Not other sizes.

No they can't, just you a memory stick instead apps and games run faster off the mem. stick anyway. And no offense or anything dude but why would you base your decision to buy a psp on that one reason? There is so much you can do with a psp and you are only gonna get one if you can burn UMD's. Anyway to each their own and the choice is up to you. Good Luck

Well I had a nintendo DS which I know, is nothing like the PSP. But I dont know if its worth it. For example, the ps2 you can completely mod it. Burn backups, etc. With psp, so you put the games onto memory sticks? Can you at least burn the movies onto the UMD's?
