Ok I just received my HD television, the cable service provides a really low amount of HD programming...But I am able to pick up NBC (it is within 5 miles of my house) but other stations are about 60 miles (so I doubt I can pick those up) anyways...My television has an input titled "Ant in" it is a NTSC VHF/UHF or Cable input so I assume I can hook an antenna up through this correct? Anyways, I am looking for an indoor one, I found a few philips antennas at walmart for about 8-25 dollars that all said they could pick up a signal within a 25 mile radius so I figured I could pick up NBC with this...Is this all I need or will I need more...Any help?

c2sellit1, by purchasing a Clear-QAM tuner, you would be able to receive all of the digital channels in your area without the hassle of an antenna.

Also, outdoor antennas work the best.

How much is that going to put me into the hole? I know you know my selection is weak so would it be worth it?...

An outdoor antenna could cost as little as $150. A good clear-QAM tuner can cost up to $300. I wouldn't do it if you wan't CBS on HD since you can't get it in HD.

But in Cincinnati (spelled with one 't' not two :) Sorry its a pet peeve) you could get CBS in HD and SD without any problems. So I guess its up to you from there.
