I am making home movies with a Sony DCR-PC101 digital camcorder. I have recorded everything in the 16x9 mode. I pull the video over using Pinnacle Studio V7. The video comes in looking great but it comes in as a 4:3 squeezed video even though I have DVD 720x480 selected as the source. I have been able to burn the movie using DVDit but it only allowed me to drag the video in as a 4:3 ratio. It plays just fine on my 16x9 tv in standard mode because my tv stretches it but I want to send some of the movies to family that do not have 16x9 sets. So of course the set top DVD player is not creating the black bars if a 4:3 tv is selected during playback because the DAR is not set to 16x9. Is there an easy way to set the DAR to 16x9? I've had choppy results using TMPG and it takes forever.
