i bought psp from ebay and i am wondering how do i know what version.it came with a box,manuals and everything else

Go to system settings/tools and it will tell you the firmware version

turn the psp on, go to the system menu, and on system information about the psp it will tell you there. it'll either be 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.1, 2.5 (not sure if there are any more versions) not sure if you can tell from the outside of the box tho i believe i read somewhere it'll be on the sticker what version u have. if you have 1.0 or1.5 your already fine to use homebrew, and if u have 2.0 you can downgrade easy enough, but if you on anything above 2.0 i think your stuck for the time being until a hack is made. think there is progress on a working hack for 2.5 tho. please anyone correct me if i'm wrong.

Hugh isn't Ireland in the EU (e.g. Europe),?!?!
If so wouldn't that be Region 2 (Movies), & Region 4 (Games),??


....But, then I thought that the PSP? didn't use Region Codeing for Games. Just for the Movies to keep Hollywood of there Backs!!
