used mph to go through process of downgrading .all okay until tried to update in game (memory stick). pressed enter , message "the system software on your psp systemis version 2.00 there is no need to update".
i'm a novice and would greatly appreciate a pointer in the right direction.

Do you mean that you have successed downgrade to v1.50 and try to upgrade back to v2.0?

for instruction to downgrade to v1.50 go here

i've got a 2.00 and am trying to downgrade to a 1.50 version followed all the steps and i get that message come up!

Ive read this problem in another thread.

Try a Network Update up to version 2.0 (even though it says you already have it)

Do you have the 2.0 web browser?

how do i specify network to update as if i try to update it says that version 2.6 is available also how do i check what version is on the browser?

Yeah don't use network update because it will update to 2.6 and you won't be able to downgrade again (until a 2.6 downgrader has been made that is) Sounds like it didn't downgrade correctly, maybe go through the downgrade process again.

where can i find the 2.0 update file. I dont want to download 2.6 or anything. Is there a site that still has 2.0 posted that i can use to upgrade and downgrade again when i want to.

I thought www.yourpsp.com had the 2.0 network update. It has worked before.

JUST TRIED WIPING ALL SAVED DATA FROM STICK AND FILES ,THEN GOING THROUGH THE PROCEDURE OF TRYING TO LOAD VERSION 2.0 ON THE PSP EVEN THOUGH I'VE ALREADY GOT VERSION 2.0 INSTALLED .......STILL GETTING THAT MESSAGE AS PREVIOUSLY STATED ,PLEASE ,PLEASE CAN SOMEONE RELEASE ME FROM THIS DILEMMA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

finally i'm in the comfort zone for some reason the dilemma i was in was rectified by deleting the photo folder in the psp creating a new one rename photo in cap locks which i assumed was the case before,loading overview tif as before OPENING UP THIS IN THE SECTION OF PHOTO ,the rest is history ............. homebrew here i come .........thankyou to everyboby who took the time to help out ............. happy xmas and all the best for the new year >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> mic

I have a question about Downgrading. After I perform the downgrade, do I have to use the same memory stick every time? i have heard about people formating their mrmory stick after doing the downgrade and then not being able to use their psp after that. Are there certain files that have to always remain on the memory stick ?
