You'll need an experts on soldering experienced and or any PS2 modifications experts to solder and install a modchip inside your PS2 console.

i agree with the above. Unless you really know what your
doing and have very good soldering skills this is one of those
"do not try this at home" sort of things.
I would have a professional do it.
If you pay for shipping Teammodders will do it for about $35
here is what you are looking at.

if you want to see more pics of various models then go here:

unless of course if you are talking about a DMS EZI solderless chip.
Those can be very tricky, but most people can pull it off themselves.

Yeah DavBere did mine as well. He put a Matrix Infinity in my v.4 PS2 and it works great. You should go with a DMS 4 or Matrix Infinty, if you're going to get a chip. The Crystal Chip is also solid. DEFINITELY have a pro install your chip. No sense in ruining your PS2.

26. Q. I'm in the market for a modchip or premodded console. What are some reputable sites I can order from?
A. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/251223 In addition modchip.com and norcalmods.com are supposed to be reliable.
