shrinking backup ps2 games

can anyone explain how to shrink a backup ps2 game to fit a 4.7gb dvd?
i appreciate any help on this issue thankyou

You can't shrink a PS2 game period. You'll need to "rebuild" it with DVD Decrypter, Apache 2/ISO Buster Pro, CDVD GEN 1.5, IML2ISO and sometimes it may required more tools as well.

Also, to add to the info, dont use DVD Shrink because that would stuff up your ps2 game

Not sure what you mean by stuff up, but you can't even open a PS2 game with DVD Shrink. Remember, PS2 DVD-ROMs don't have the same file structure as a DVD movie.
