Something interesting about UK PSP's & 2.01 firmware?

maybe I'm jumping to conclusions with this, but in the uk we sold out of the first shipment of psp's pretty quick, & sony told us there were no more value packs coming till feb 2006, all of a sudden as if by magic there were value packs available in mid december, so I, like many others rushed out & bought one, when I got it home I first of all noticed that the security tab had been cut & replaced, I thought no more about it & continued to use my new toy, until I noticed the screen was faulty & returned it, I mentioned to the guy in the shop that the security tag had been cut & re-sealed, he replaced my faulty psp, but when we checked it the security tag had also been cut & replaced, so out of interest we checked the entire stock of psp value & giga packs & they have all been opened & re-sealed, looks like sony didn't run out after all, did they recall & upgrade all the UK PSP's in secret to stop piracy?, or am I just being paranoid?, I'd be interested to hear from other UK PSP users to see if they've had similar experience, Nish

they went through and checked to make sure all the psp's in the u.k where 2.0 firmware due to piracy and a report that a 6 year old kid in the u.k got one with firmware 1.50 on it from a u.k vender

my freind imported one from the u.k and it come the same way security tab broken

got mine from currys

it was 2.01 but the security tag was intact
