Can someone give me step by step instructions to encode dvd movies into a format for the rca lyra 2780.

In the steps please tell me the best proven software to do the job

I would guess you need to convert them to Mpeg4. Well just rip the DVD movies to your PC and convert them through here.

This will convert you DivX movies aswell, if you have any.
Then just put them into your RCA LYRA hard drive file, which i would guess again it is plug and play so it'll just be in my computer, under RCA or something like that. Should be ok then
