I follow the tutorial and finaly i make an Iso for GT4 4.30GB.i copy this in a dvd 5 with many ways like dvd decrypter, nero, clone dvd2,gameXcopy,alcohol 120(My favorite)but in my PS2 the game stack in the first screen of the game.....then black screen.........?whats happen? This is Not about for play the game i have original, but i test my brain.!.I fix the GOD OF WAR in 1.72GB and the game plays good for now...GT4 help!!!!

I tried the gt4 rebuild once too... couldn't get it to work either, but i think i accidentally hit the relink button twice when i was relinking the files..so didn't work obviously.
I might give it a try again sometime, but couldn't be bothered to be honest to spend another few hours for a coaster. I'll just play my original and hope I don't scratch it too bad... not that big of a deal as I don't scratch my other games either, but prefer to use backups just in case my nieces or nephews come round... I put my originals way out of the way, LOL.
If I try it again soon, will post back and let you know how I got on... i'm gonna try apache3 this time.

have try very hard in last week to do a copy of the gt4.I follow the orders reading meny tutorials help me to understain the methode of how to crack this game.I think there is something doing with the
GT4L1.VOL.AND....READ CAREFUL MY SOLUTION.WHEN USING THE EXTRACT BUTTON IN GT4DVD5 RIPPER TOOL V 1.02 THE FILES EXTRACTED IN FILE INTO THE DIRECTORY.THE PROBLEM IS IN THE REBUILD BUTTON.WHEN THE TOOL REBUILT THE FILES LEAVE OUTSIDE SOME VERY IMPORTANT FILES LIKE START GAME PSS AND THE GAME DOES NOT START OR STUCK IN FIRST SCREEN.SO I FIND THIS WAY TO REBUILT THE GT4L1.VOL.I FOLLOW THE STEP OF THE OFFICIAL TUTORIAL AND AFTER EXTRACT THE GT4L1.VOL WITH GT4 DVD 5 RIPPER TOOL V 1.02 IN THE EXTRACTED FOLDER I DELETE THE SUGGESTION 21 FILES.DONT !!! DONT PUSH THE REBUILDING BUTTON.CLOSE THE GT4 DVD5 RIPPER TOOL V 1.02 AND OPEN THE GT4 DVD 5 RIPPER TOOL BUT THIS TIME USE THE VERSION V 1.01.PUSH THE RIP BUTTON.IN ERROR SCREENS CLICK OK,THE TOOL WORKS AND BUILD THE NEW GT4L1.VOL.AT THE END ERROR SCREEN SHOW UP AGAIN BUT THE NEW GT4L1.VOL WAS CREATED IN YOUR DIRECTORY.DELETE THE OLD GT4L1.VOL AND THE EXTRACTED FOLDER AND THATS IT ... FOLLOW THE NEXT STEPS WITH CDDVD GEN (I USE THE VERSION 2) CREATE IML FILE WITH EXPORT BUTTON LEAVE OPEN THIS PROGRAM MINIMIZE THAT AND OPEN THE GDVD iml2iso tool V@4.01 TO CREATE THE ISO FROM THE IML FILE.WHEN THIS DONE CLOSE ALL OPEN PROGRAMS AND FINALY BURN THE ISO WITH DVD DECRUPTER......OK ENJOY THE GAME,IN MY PS2 PLAYS FINE.THE FINALY ISO IS ABOUT 4.64 GB.KEEP IN TOUCH FOR THE BETTER FUTURE KOSTAS21 GREECE.

Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't follow the damned GT4 DVD-9 to DVD-5 tutorial. I have a modchip that supports DVD-9 games, but I just wanted to save money on DL discs. Oh well, I gave up and burned it to a Verbatim DVD+R DL disc. I enabled DVD-9 support on my Matrix Infinity and it plays perfectly. It's a cool game. The visuals are some of the best on the PS2.

I could follow it, but I think I made a mistake when relinking with my heavy index finger, LOL. I'm gonna give it another try over xmas... I'll let you know how I get on with it.
