I have some old home movies on tape (really, not movies). When I play a tape through the stand alone ILO recorder I bought 2 months ago, there are faint dark bars that run from left to right. These bars are there whether I am recording or not. If I hook up the VCR directly to the television, there are no bars, and the picture is fine. I have tried different cables and still have bars. Even tried a different television set. When I record, the bars get recorded too. It's almost like my own home movies have a light copyguard on them or something. Is there some setting the DVD Recorder is suppose to be on that I don't know about to elliminate the bars and distortion? Id like it to play just like it does when I hook it up directly to the television. Thanks!
