i beleive only old ps2 game fitted on cdr disks as they were smaller i think you will have to use DVD-R disk.
or try using an iso shrink software there are a few about because you have to shrink games to put them on to the psp memory stick.
its proberly far easier to put them straight on to dvdr less hassle!

Here is Gnie's Rebuilding tool which will help shrink down the size of the game:

Gnie's Rebuilding Tool: http://www.alucard.cc/ps2/ExPERT_v1.03.rar

Guide for it: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2/262453 (anthony 05's post)

If you need a more in depth guide, you can get it at www.ps2nfo.com. You just have to register first.

In most cases, you won't be able to shrink a DVD game to fit onto a CD. This process is just used to delete dummy files and shrink a DL (DVD9) to a regular 4.7gb DVD (DVD5).

Do you have a modchip simonkey? If not, don't waste your time with all of this.
