No, DVD Shrink only works for movies. What game is it you're trying to backup?

What do you mean when you say it won't work on your computer... we might be able to suggest a reason for this if you tell us the circumstances.

if I download ISO Buster will that creat the iso image file and thge mds file like DVD decryptor? Do you have to have a mds file in order to burn? Or can you burn the game using the ISo file?

Iso buster doesn't create iso's, the only thing I know of that you could do would be to use a program like iso buster or apache2, put the disc you want to copy in there.. extract the files from the disc. Then build an iso using sony cd/dvd generator.

It's not that dvd decrypter won't work... it's that you have an aspi problem on your computer... and I think it's saying that you're not the admin on the computer also. You'd have even more problems trying to use cd/dvd generator.

IS it your computer? or are you a user on someone else's? you need to put a file into the windows/system32 folder... I can get you that no problem... but you need to get whoever is the admin on that computer to allow you admin access first.

[edit] you can get the file here http://www.nero.com/nero6/en/WNASPI32.DLL.html

you need to put that file into the c:\windows\system32 folder

Then open dvd decrypter, go into the tools menu, then settings.
Click the I/O tab.. and under where it says interface there are options... select the one that says ASPI - WNASPI32.DLL then click ok.
It should now recognise your drive and you should be all set to decrypt games/movies whatever.

Have asked a mod to move this to the ps2 dvd backup section.

No idea why that's not working then... it's the same as mine except mine finds 2 dvdrw devices. The only thing I can think of is that there's a problem with your device.
I'll ask for some help on figuring this one out.. creaky, where are you?

i know this sounds like a wacky suggestion but give it a try. if ur dvd writer is on slave then put it on master or the vice-versa.

hav u got the latest firmware?

i know dvd decrypter is a really useful tool but u can try another method. if another software like Nero or Sonic Record Now is detecting your drive. then u can back ur games up by:

1)select he copy disc icon

2) put the original disc, let the software read it.

3) after it is done readin, the tray will eject and will ask for a blank disc. put a gud quality media in it.

4) write it at the half speed of the disc say if it 4x then 2x, if 8x then 4x, u know wat i mean.

5) voila, its done.

It's gotta be a problem with your device(s) if neither program will detect them. What make and model are they, and are they dvd-rom or dvd writers?
Have you made any hardware or software changes recently? and have you used any dvd programs that work with these device(s)? ever

Hmm, maybe it's a software conflict then? I don't use sonic. Do you have Nero INCD installed on your system? that could affect it I think?

Hi,
Try installing NeroBurnRights, that lets you use CD writer units without administrative privileges. I have tried and it works.
Of course you need to log in as administrator to install it.
