I am interested in purchasing a tuner card, but I am bogged down with so much to choose from. I want to watch TV, record TV and listen to the FM radio. A remote would also be good. The confusion comes from system requirements. They all seem to call for a video card and/or audio cards. I don't game all that much so graphics are not what I'm after. I would like to go with a surround sound system also one day. They also call for Divx. I don't know what that really is. I need some basic guidence. Thanks.

Hey demello if you are looking for a tv tuner card that has all that i would recommend the hauppauge wintv-pvr 250 or 350 i do believe it is the 350 that has the fm tuner on it. I personally own the 250 and I love it and it comes with a remote control, it has everything you are looking for.

you do not want to get a graphics card with a tv tuner built in to it it isnt really that good IMO. DivX you download off the net DivX is like another video player i do believe. Unless you are talking about directX than that is for games you also can download that off the net. hopefully this info will help you out.

I meant direct x. After doing my research and applying my budget I purchased an ATI Wonder Elite PCI. HP uses ATI video cards so I thought it would work well with my system. Thanks for your reply.
