What is the best tool to convert .ram files to .avi. I'm trying to convert some snl clips to play on my ipod.

AVI files can not playback on 5gen ipod.
You should convert ram to mp4 or mov files. Have a look at the guide at the top of this forum.

I just did. I can't seem to find a tool to do it. So I reason to covert to AVI and the convert AVI to mpeg4.
