Ok i`m new to this so go easy on me ..lol..

ok i`m trying to burn a copy of "spider-man" for the ps2 .when i put the original in the drive i expected to see vob files .but i don`t i see folders and files like a pc game .also if i try to use the "copy disk" in nero i get "no dvd in drive etc" ..i also get this in dvd decrypter .

i`ve read all the know how`s but i can`t find anything about this prob ..

please help me i`m dying to get sw 3.6 running properly ..

Try different game, if problem still occurs, than your pc must probally cant read ps2 disc

ok all the games do it ....but ....i can read the disk in apache2 ....can i make an iso from that ??

ok .....i managed to download DVD Decrypter after some searching and that seems to do what it should .and i end up with a iso image of the dvd disk so i`m supposing thats all good ??

all i ned to do now is get myself some dvd-r`s and i should be good to go i hope .I tried to use a DVD+RW but to no avail so i`m guessing it`s the media thats screwing me around now .

one more question ...is there a list online somwhere that tells you which games need rebuilding and which you can just copy with DVD Decrypter ?

The only games that will need rebuilt are the few that get into the 4.36-4.38gb size (I think). Other than that, you might have to rebuild the occasional game that contains a dummy file.

Also, stay away from the DVD+RW's. You'll want to try +R's or -R's. The determination between these two really just depends on what your PS2 prefers. You'll want to use good media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, TDK, Sony or Phillips.

[Edit] Also, since you use Swap Magic, you'll want to check www.swapmagicfix.com to see if a game you're trying to burn needs a patch.
