Question about Swap Magic & Playing PS2 games.

OK if I make a backup of my PS2 games and I insert the original ID into the ISO before burning it to the DVD do I need to use Swap Magic in order to play the games or can I just put them in the PS2 and they will play like an original DVD.

I'm trying to make this as easy as possible for my wife, she's not very technical and just wants to sit down and "play the damm game".

no, you cant , if you could no one would buy swap magic or modchips.
if your wife want to just sit down and play the game, get a modchip.

OK, thanks alot. Maybe I misunderstood something that I read earlier, but I thought you needed to use Swap Magic to load Disk Utility ID to get the original ID.

Then once you have the ID insert it into the ISO and burn it to the DVD (simplifing things here), so there is still a need for Swap Magic, but you don't ned it to play the game everytime.

Like I said, I probably misunderstood what I read. I'm just geting started in this and like anything there is a learning curve.

Thanks for the answer.

You don't suck.

You need to increase your self image.

Unfortunatly DVD Decrypter only works on Disk images not self images.
