PAL to NTSC Question

Ive tried converting PAL games to NTSC,using a program called ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix, which allows you to try running a game in PAL, NTSC, or NTSC with y fix, which aligns the screen better. The problem I have is that, even with y fix, the video is stretched in NTSC mode, and no matter how I align it, part of the screen is always cut off on the top or bottom. In PAL mode, the screen is properly sized, but in black and white. Is there any way to convert the game without stretching the video?

Not really, unless you're using a modchip that forces video mode. It sounds like your using Swap Magic. You could try Adr patcher. It won't be perfect, but it might help. If your using Swap Magic, you'll just have to get by.

A. Use Adrenaline patcher if it's an EA game: http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_utils_files.shtml#ADRenalin%20Patcher Note: I've been told this works for non EA games as well. The screen won't be perfectly centered, unless you have a modchip that forces video mode.
