Ok this is going to be a lengthy post but I need someone to know my own problem I'm having with Azureus (and BT in general).
About 6 months ago I was using Azureus and it was working fine, I have a 512k connection and it downloaded at 50-60K which is just right for my connection, it was great. At that time I moved into a college dorm in which they had BitTorrent blocked, so I gave up on Azureus and other clients and switched to IRC for a while.
I'm back home now for Christmas break. I've disabled gay windows firewall, Trend Micro is setup to allow everything, installed Azureus, forwarded ports 51515 and setup Azureus to use that port. NAT test comes back as OK and I've got green smily's across the board, looks good to go. Except my download/upload speed never breaks 6-8K. I've searched at least 50 different sights on stuff to do, I've tried alot of stuff I never would have thought to do in hopes of solving the problem, but nothing has worked so far.
I've tried such things as disable/enable UPnP on both AZ and my router, that wierd TCP patch where it opens up to 50 connections or whatever, nothing there. Updated firmware of my router, updated drivers of my network adapter. I'm quickly running out of ideas, esspecially when everything 'shows' to green and looking good in Azureus.
I'll give some specs of my equipment if thats any help.
Router: Linksys WRT54G
Windows XP Pro with SP2 (Firewall disabled)
Trend Micro anti-virus
nVidia nForce networking controller
If I can't get any more ideas from here I'm gunna try the Azureus IRC channel, but if you guys have any suggestions it would help a ton. I just don't know what else to try. I called my ISP and they said I have a completely open connection, they don't filter anything.
