Guy i have a nokia 6230 and when i check my shared memory in the phone it say that is 8 MB but when i checked in the nokia site it says that the memory is 6 MB. Its not a problem but am just wondering if any body has this on his phone ?

Can you create delete folders without MMC? I mean in phone's user's area?

Becouse user area is stored in another IC. NOR handles MCU and PPM along with phone book. All your other stuff is stored in NAND flash.
Phone is 100% able to run without NAND soldered but you will have problems with photos etc. There is also CNT (Content package) that uses some space.

Alrite then can i ask you some questions ? Can i install any software like DVD player etc. in my phone the 6230 ? And i got another phone nokia 3220 can i install any thing in it ?

6230 is a TIKU phone. In other words: java only but with good performance. 6230 supports 3gp/mp3...

3220 is a WD2 (SymbianOS) phone. You can install any Symbian applications you like...
