just got a white psp with 2.50, but then i just upgraded to 2.60 for the wma support. and i want to go back to homebrews so will there eva be a downgrader for 2.50 above

seriously though, there probably will be in the future, yes, but it could be a long time off, could be a year away, or more. Your just going to have to wait like the rest of us to be honest mate.

you are s.o.l if you have 2.01....the next hack is going to be for 2.5/2.6 2.5 and 2.6 have the same security so if they crack one they crack the other....noone is going to waste their time to hack 2.01 because it is an old firmware....get 2.6 it is great..,.and dont worry it is less than a years wait....way less

yep they testing 2.01 and 2.5 as we speak........
Some people have released Beta versions of EBOOTS but all have failed
Anyway hopefully an ebooter should come for the new year
psp3d should keep you posted with developments and such

you are very very wrong wolfwood..and so misinformed....2.5/2.6 will be the next one...they already glitched the 2.5 so very soon there will be something out for it...2.01 is late history noone wants to hack that....so srry for the bad news

i dont want a downgrader, i want a iso loader and i think so does every1 else. and all the games take 2.0+ so they dont want to downgrade , i dont want to downgrade anyway , i have a 2.0 but im not downgrading to 1.5 cos i have games that require 2.0 and 1.5 is gettin a bit rubbish now

i would have to agree with that most games require 2.00 and all the new games in 2006 will require 2.60 and contain new encryption so that hackers cannot bypass the system protection to boot illegal software
so looks like very soon the psp's own feature looks very bleak indeed
what i don't understand is if a hacker wants to build software and crack the psp hardware and software they should start collecting donations from people the software devolopment kits for psp are only 1 thousand for a devolpment kit

I agree Paul2004, the games on 1.5 are getting rubbish, i'm pretty much over them except the racing ones lol, although i don't own kingdom of whatever, i gotta take my hat off to sony for what they've done with the antipiracy measures. sure it sucks you can't get games for free for a while, or play them off your memstick :( :( but it just raises the stakes for the hackers. Alot like M$ and sony with their home consoles releasing different versions by modifying the hardware layout, eg the rebuilding the LPC port on the xbox 1.6 (which was easy to do anyway, that was my second xbox) but i love the way they try to tempt users to upgrade by offering new things, and ofcourse the fw dependant games are going to help the most. :D
I'm hanging so bad for gt4 and even more Juiced (on pc online i was ranked 600 at my best, my tag was B@iley, then Screamer and KillaKlown, out of over 50,000, but i didn't realise that peeps were using nitro cheats :\, fucked it for everyone, damn cheaters) so yeah i'll upgrade to what ever they want, just to play those two games, since i don't have a prob paying for my games, hell my job pays enough lol.
Actually, i'm going to sink a few more and play some juiced online right now, merry xmas everyone, knowsayin? oh, and trailer park boys is the best tv show ever made. 8^I

Glad I read this. Just recently got a PSP but unknowningly updated to 2.6. Information that games are requireing the higher upgrades, 2.0 now it seems has stopped me from trying to downgrade. Now the question is. If a person has a 2.6 version, what can they do outside of playing official games and movies.
Can they do anything with isos, homebrews, etc?

See I have a v. 1.50 psp and a 2.60 and I finally got a 1gb stick for modding. But on the 2.60 they have this rss channel thing. Doesnt this site have one any rss channel i click on to add it on the psp it says its not the format. They need to re-upgrade that crap to work. I have no clue else what it does all I do is surf the internet, listen to music, and play socom.
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present. |
