ok, i just burned Kinetic http://www.gameseek.co.uk/pd/PS256ekw16au9w65m3z/Kinetic-Eye-Toy-... to a DVD & tried to use SwapMagic v3.6. It boots to the white screen that shows the EyeToy symbol & Kinetic. Then it stops.
I tried both special & normal mode, and booting NTSC & PAL. The EyeToy was hooked in after the swap but before I booted. Anyone else tried this game? It's the PAL multi-lang version, not U.S.
I'll try that. What the laser does, it goes near the outermost area & keeps reading there without moving. So maybe it's looking for some information, can't find it, and decides to lock up. Could be a bad disc maybe? I found this on MN.org & there were hundreds of seeders. If I still can't get it to work, I'll reburn with a different prog & maybe go back to the source. Anyone else had problems with this title?
It may be a bad burn. I remember when I backed up the first Call of Duty, it would go to the loading screen with the eagle logo and never went further than that. Then I tried installing it to my PS2's HDD months later, and that didn't work, so I tried to make an .iso of it on my computer and it stopped at like 88% so I knew it was a bad burn. So try ripping it to your computers hard drive and if it stops at all during the process, its most likely a bad burn.
I'll do that & reply back here in a few days. It could also be that the EyeToy need hookup AFTER the SMv3.6 disc has loaded but BEFORE loading the game.
