I'm trying to figure out how to remove the DVD tray cover without breaking it.

The following link that was in C3PO's guide is no longer active.
http://www.success-hk.com/manual/slide-tool/

Any information would be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks;

Steve

I looked lat night when I got home I still don't see anyway to remove this thing. I actually looks like it is all one molded piece.

The only thing on the back of the faceplate is a small metal clip that seems to hold the logo on the front of the faceplate.

Any other suggestion on how to remove the cover?

Thanks;

Steve

When you flip it over, if you don't see a screw in the top left corner (or both), you just need to take something thin (flimsy credit card) and get in between the little bracket on the left and the cover. You have to pop it out, but be careful because the brackets are very weak!! Once you get one side out, it should just pull out.

[Edit] Try this link. It has in depth directions and pictures! http://www.allmodchip.com/PS2-Slide-Card-Combo-Installation-and-U...

Jamaal10 Thanks alot.

The link you added was a great help.
Apparently the SCPH-5000X doesn't have srews, that's why I couldn't find them.

I got the cover off, but I did break the clip, unfortunatley.

I'll try to crazy glue them back on later.

Thanks;

Steve
