OK, my main purpose for the psp is to download movies, games, and pictures and transfer them from my pc to the psp. What do i need in order to do this?.. Also, if a game is to big to fit into the memory stick, is there any shrinker that would do the job , the same for movies? just in case i get a svcd movie wich they tend to be over 1gb size, but i mainly download xvid movies about 700mb size.

another question, will the movies in xvid or svcd play normally on the psp, or do i need to install some kind of video code in the psp ?

Answer: You'll need a USB cable for your PSP, now im not sure if they all come with one or not because i bought mine second hand, and it came with one. The value pack may already come with one, if not, theres always ebay.

2. "Are there any shrinkers?"

Answer: Yes there's plenty, but recently UMDGen 2.0 was released which allows you to open a downloaded or ripped ISO and automatically remove padding, if you search around you'll find guides on how to do your own manual ripping of movies and audio (basicly as easy as puttin a 0 byte file of the same name in its place, but sometimes things need relinking). Quite a few games are released as RIP's aswell, so you can probably download a rip of most games (i think ive got around 30 which will all fit on a 512 card).

3. "Above question, but for movies"

Answer: This is a bit more complicated, the PSP can only play a handful of video formats, i dont believe they can play SVCD/VCD/DIVX/XVID yet, it uses MP4 (correct me if im wrong). You can find some guides on converting your dvd's to MP4 for the PSP around on the net, again, use google.

na i didnt get a usb with mine in the value pack. just use a digital cam usb always works :P

Once i have converted video files to MP4, is there any program to shrink it, and make it fit unto a 1gb memory stick ?
