The problem that I have is that the xbox makes clicking noises whenever it is turned on. I took loose the screws and opened the xbox. When I turn on the xbox, I noticed that the noises where coming from the hard drive. My question is if the hard drive wont boot up, how can I get the eeprom and hd key and password off of that box to put another hd in it. I've read many tutorials and I have upgraded my other xbox hard drive but I don't have a clue on how to get started on this broken drive. If anyone has any idea please help!!!

You should act fast because that sound usually mean a hdd is in it's last days.

Is your XBOX already modded?

Will it boot a disc? Try using Auto Installer Deluxe to reinstall your dashboard.

I am not for sure if it will boot a disc or not because shortly after it is turned on, the light flashes red and green and the customer service screen pops up and there is not an error number.

Well, test and see if a disc will boot. If it can then you may be in the clear. Just get Auto Installer Deluxe and use it to install a dashboard.

If you are still there does it have to be the Auto Installer Deluxe or will the Slayers Evox auto installer work? Hope this is not a stupid question.

Honestly the only difference between the two is the amount of apps they come with. Whichever one u have/want is fine. (btw auto installer deluxe comes with the most, but be sure u have version 2.11)
