Ok I applied the fix found at ps2nfo.com to the game now when i boot it comes to a cdloader screen with the option of tekken 5 and devil within, at the bottom it says press circle for system.cnf, no matter which option i choose it brings me back the the, non ps2 disk screen(insert a playstation 2 disk) whatever. Im booting with swap magic 2.0 on a v7 and usually have all games working,.

Tekken 5 doesn't need any special tools to backup whatsoever (ie rebuilding). All you need to do is... either back it up with Nero Express or DVD Decrypter. Just make sure you use high quality media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo" or "datalife plus" and Maxell (made in japan by Hitachi Corp.) burn it at 4X and you'll be fine.

I burned my backup straight up after ripping to my hard drive using DVD Decrypter with Maxell 8X DVD+R book type as DVD-ROM. Once it's done, pop that baby in my PS2 and it plays like a charm.

Here's what you do:

open up DVD Decrypter

- Mode, Iso, read (to your hard drive)
- Mode, Iso, Write (to your burner with a high quality media)
- make sure you choose the MDS file
- click on Write (that's it...sit back, relax, go smoke, watch tv and come back when it's completed)
