hi,
whenever i unzip mph downgrader and put the content on my psp to downgrade it i have problems copying the files.
The file: 'overflow.tif' does not copy.
It say's access denied!
I have no anti-virus program installed so that cannot be stopping it.
I however took the same psp to my friends old computer (with no internet or updates) and it downgraded fine!
Why is it stopping on my computer?
Is there a way to prevent this???
Thanks alot.

Do you have something set to read only maybe?
Where is it stopping and how are you transfering it over...usb, card reader?
Can you transfer other files to the psp?

Turn you virus protection off!!! There were some bad files out there at once that had what was called "Brick.Trojan", so now Norton's even picks up the good file as being a trojan and stops you from using the file. Had the same problem on my computer, turned off virus protection worked fine.

Do you have M$ Antispyware or some such installed? As far as this Red 'X' where are you noticeing this? On the PSP?, or on your PC??
BTW: Some notes...
The 'overflow.tif' will only work with Firmware v2.00! It **WILL NOT** work with any Prior or Latter version. (e.g. The Prior having no support for *.tif Files. The Latter having fixed the Hole that made the 'Ploite possible in the first place),...
So if you have v1.5x currently installed you'll have to update to v2.0 first! Should you unfortuntly have v2.01, or higher installed. The you just S.O.L!!!

also certain anit virus applications continue to run in the background
even if you shut them off like norton and even mcafee anti virus which both have been updated to automaticly tell windows to block the overflow tif i ran into this problem when the latest update came from microsoft windows and told me i had to install it so i did and now im not able to copy the downgrader at all
mainly this happened because microsoft provided support for the psp for the xbox 360 and is now keeping people from accessing the downgrader to stop piracy for sony
kinda sucks huh
