Converting Music DVD's to MPG and WMV

I've been using VideoReDo Plus to edit television shows recorded on my Toshiba D-VR3 DVD recorder, and ULead DVD Movie Factory 3.0 to burn the edited shows to disks. I will use DVD DeCrypter version 3.5.2 to combine the multiple VOB files to a single VOB for editing in VideoReDo Plus 2.1.1 , usually using the QuickStream Fix tool to correct any timing errors. All of this works fairly well for me.

I use DVD Shrink versions 3.1 and 3.2 to make backup copies of the DVD's I've purchased, and that has worked well, too. Recently I added AnyDVD to my configuration to help the decryption processes.

So far so good. Okay here's my problem: I wanted to extract one song from one of my music DVD and convert it into first an MPG and then a WMV file. I will use DVD DeCrypter to create a single VOB file on my hard drive and then use VideoReDo Plus to edit that VOB file, saving the result as a MPG file. For some reason, the audio on the resulting MPG file comes out really bad, with clicking and stuttering noises. I have tried running the MPG file in different players and the noises are always there. (Once I get a decent MPG file I will use ULead Video Studio 8 to create a WMV file.)

So any suggestions on how to eliminate the stuttering audio would be appreciated. (I thought it might be AnyDVD since that is fairly new to the equation and I've been able to do similar projects in the past so I will try turning that off first.)
