If I upgrade my PSP firmware from 1.52 to 2.0 then downgrade back to 1.5 will my psp be bricked??

No, not if you get the real MPH Downgrader, you need to be carefule as there are some versions of the Downgrader that will distroy some files from the Firmware Flash, thuss causeing the PSP? to brick. The only other thing you need to take note of is because this is the case, AV Software will distroy the 'overflow.tif' File before you'll even get a chance to use it. So for the space that you need to get the File(s) to your PSP in oder to downgrade your PSP? to v1.50. you should deactivate your AV Software.

At the moment you can Download only Firmware v2.60 form S0NY?. So you'll need to google for the v2.0 Update. If you lucky to have the European PSP?, with the v2.00 Update on the Demo UMD?. You could just use that to get to v2.00.

Needless to say you DO NOT WANT TO UPDATE PAST v2.00!! As then you'll loose any chance of Homebrew!!!

Ichijoe in the short term thats right as 2.00+ don't have the technical capabilities of 1.5 (Homebrew)

But I'm certain they'll be able to get somewhere with this 2.5 expoilation which is going well. So If your willing to wait for Homebrew to come 2.5 then do.

But I would be very careful when upgrading and downgrading as far as I'm aware there is risk in every unofficial downgrader so make sure you use the real MPH

Yes I might have forgoten to mention that part. But, I think you forgot to also mention in order for the 'ploite to work. One need to have a GTA:LCS UMD? in His\Her Aresnel. With the appopriate NA or EUR G.S.H. in order for it to work.

My understanding ~as far as good as it is~ would basicly allow those with v2.01 & v2.50 to, run the same Homebrews' as those with v2.00, and the v2.0 EBoot Loader. Max 64kb -User Mode Space- ONLY!!

I hope for what it's worth I'm wrong about this, But, I'm not sure it'll be worth waiting for this.

As always try to keep conscious of the fact the any Firmware above v2.00 is bad for you! And should thuss best be avoided! Unless you're one of the few handfull of people that owns a LocationFree Player. then you can decide if that is worth more then Homebrew.

Other then that, or the RSS (Podcasting), Feature in v2.60. Why S0NY? even bothered with .WMA is anouther question in-and-of istself!?! there is no compelling reasion to update past v2.00. Al-la a Firmware **ONLY** style Game (i.e. GTA, SOCOM, C.T.R et-al),. No I only see that comming with the next batch of Games due up for a Spring release. By which point SONY? should be up to v3.00...

You know your stuff!

Sony are trying all these new features to make people who want to play downloaded games sitting ducks.

They are trying to lure people in with different and better features.

I bought a White PSP JAP 2.5 the other day. I'm not planning to update but as soon as a proven non-bricker downgrade comes along 'clickity - click' I'd prefer more games than features
