I havent tried to do this before and after looking around online for about 30 min, I got tired of seeing ads for 6 billion different types of burning software and a bunch of halfway informative posts about how to make backups to games.

So I figure I would ask directly.

I have a DVD r/w and am somewhat computer saavy.

1. Is there a COMPLETE and detailed FAQ to how to do this anywhere?

2. If not, do i have to have a modchip for *ANY* type of copied game?

3. Will a bootdisk allow me to use a copied game? If so, how do I make one?

4. I have Nero on my machine, is that suitable for burning or is there a shareware/free ware prog out there that will enable me to burn?

Thats all for now..

Thanks,

Daremo

What kind of PS2 games you want to backup? CD or DVD? If it's a PS2 DVD9 base game, then you'll need to rebuild so it can onto a 4.7GB single layer disc. Check out my "easy & simple" guide on how to rebuild DVD9 PS2 games" http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/275350

On the other hand, it's it's only 4.5GB or under than you can simple use DVD Decrypter to do the following:

- MODE, ISO, Read R and DECRYPT (to your hard drive, and wait until it's completed)

- now put high quality media inside your burner
- MODE, ISO, WRITE (and browse/locate the files from your hard drive
- choose the MDS file (and set your burning speed to 4X)
- click on WRITE (that's it...sit back unitl it's done)

Good luck and happy burning!!!

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
