update nero to 6.6.0.18
update for nero here - http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php
Physical memory : 190MB (194864kB)
Free physical memory: 78MB (80416kB)
memory is low, disable all programs not in use, memory is getting cheap maybe buy another stick
Finalize CD : FALSE
Multisession : TRUE
you need to finalize your discs
CDR code: 00 97 26 66; OSJ entry from: CMC Magnetics Corporation
quality media is a must, stay away from memosux, maxell cd's are good if you look on the their labels and find the ones that say made in japan, my maxells code out as taiyo yuden
another good choice is verbatim
peace

Many ppl have problems with Memorex discs. MANY.
These threads are from creaky's sig line links:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/232406
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/266706 and you can find hundreds of Nero logs where Memorex and CMC have made ppls lives miserable. It is much better to just stay away from that junk. Good media choices are stuff Made in Japan, Sony, Fuji, Maxell, and Verbatim (verbs are good with made in singapore, and made it taiwan) I try to get Taiyo Yuden media as it is the best media IMHO.
You can check your media's manufacturer with DVD Identifier
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id... Switch to good media, and most of your burning problems will go away. http://www.supermedia.com is a good store to find Taiyo Yudens, usually on sale.
also in you log you have a DMA off on your cd-rom drive
Quote: CdRomPeripheral : MITSUMI CD-ROM FX4831T!A atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off
and i couldn't find that drive listed at the firmware site. Check the manufacturers site and see if the firmware needs updating on that drive.
This is from Nero on DMA settings:
Quote: DMA settings - You may have DMA disabled for your CD-/DVD-ROM and recorder devices. You should enable this feature. If you have old drivers (even if you have the latest in some cases), DMA may not be properly supported, even though you can enable it. You should try with DMA disabled if you still have problems having enabled it.
Enable or disable DMA:
To enable DMA in Windows 2000/XP, simply go to your 'Control Panel --> Systems --> Hardware --> Device Manager'. Double click on the 'IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers'. Right click on the 'Primary IDE Channel', go to 'Properties --> Advanced Settings' and change ´Transfer Mode´ to 'DMA if available'. Do the same for the secondary IDE channel.
For Windows 9x and ME, go to your 'Control Panel --> System --> Device Manager --> CD-ROM' and under the devices 'Properties --> Settings' enable or disable DMA.
also as BigFatBoy pointed out, you need more memory. 512MB is considered the minimum needed for DVD burning. You are trying to make do with less than 190MB of physical memory.
Die CMC Mag!!!
