Hi, now i want to know about homebrew, and what exactly it is. I understand that only version 1.5 is homebrew compatible, but what does that enable???? but does that mean even if i download a psp game from internet and load onto memory it wont work??? If i want to download my psp games from p2p, then would it only work with the version 1.5?? How successfull is the downgrader???

first don't downgrade

it causes major problems

second i have done hombrew and the homebrew scene right now sucks
the games are lame the emulators are slow

starting in 2006 sony is requiring everybody to go to psp firmware 2.60 and is inforcing this by rigging software to run only on 2.60 and nothing else so even if you decide to downgrade i would just go out and purchase games especially imports you can get most psp import games from japan and the u.k for 30.00 at http://www.lik-sang.com

First of ~From what I learnd thuss far~ SONY? can not force anyonr to update who does not what to! This forced v2.60 Update the the AP is refering to is for the One or Two Games right now that you actually can play with though a 'Infrastructue Mode' (i.e. On-Line), So if on the off chance all your Games at the moment are all 'Ad-Moc Mode' **ONLY** this v2.60 DNAS Crap is nothing to worry about. Kinda like getting banned from XBL! when you never even considerd paying the Extortion Money to Redmond anyhow.

The most likely scenario is that S0NY? will release a batch of v2.60 / v3.00 Games (al-la a GTA Style on us), which will force you to update to play the Game. That's it....
