How to convert Real media to a file usable by DVD authoring program (for settop playback)

I would like to know how to take Real media player movies files and convert then so i can use them in a DVD authoring program like MyDVD or Maestro. I want to be able to play these on a set top player. Any suggestions on how to make the conversion? Thanks for your help.
